A model helicopter which displays the true class of performance is the T-Rex 250. In the TRex 250, Align promises an unequalled performance. It is the first and the smallest helicopter produced by Align. The helicopter itself measures 430mm in length and 187mm in height, and its approximate fly weight is 330g.

The features of this TRex include several of the same features found in Align’s other RC helicopters, such as the Electric Power system, the lightweight design for a superb flight performance and 3D capability, a carbon fiber frame design for rigidity of the helicopter, and a beautiful factory painted fiber glass canopy. All these parts result in fast and prompt actions. With a CCPM rotor head and a belt driven tail, inverted flights and 3D maneuvers are effortlessely delivered from this astounding RC helicopter. Also, the center of gravity is brought towards the center in this TRex, as the battery tray is designed closer to the rotor head. A direct to swash CCPM is attached within it. A 3.5mm main shaft, a 2.5mm feathering shaft, and an 8.5mm tail boom are inclusive in this. All these were made to increase the speed and performance of this model helicopter. The belt driven tail rotor system brings a tail rotor diameter of 108mm. This provides precision and smooth movements.

Two sets of main blades and tail blades are added within the kit for different flight characteristics. The main blades are 205mm long (tapered), and the other pair of main blades is 100mm (straight), and these give a rotor diameter of 450-460mm. The 250L brushless motor, a 15A ESC, and the CF frames and fins incorporate precision to its maximum. The DS420 servo works compatibly with the gyro of this bird. However, the features that stand out in the T-Rex 250 are its size, the rigid frame, and its CNC parts. These all give an excellent precision control to the helicopter. Also, the batteries for it are cheap and can be recharged very quickly!

Overall, the T-Rex is a high quality helicopter and can handle any maneuver you want from it. It is an excellent choice, especially for beginners. It is said to be have the longest flight time out of Align’s entire line of helicopters. If you do not want to spend as much as you would on the T-Rex 700 Nitro, then this TRex is tremendous value for money.
